Goal: Our design team was working on an experience for a brand new product that allowed solutions architects to restructure their monolithic applications into microservices.
Impact: We created an MVP interface including user guidance like tool tips, error states, and a first-time user walkthrough. We were able to take this project from an inception point to an actual deliverable.
Role and stakeholders
- Myself: Content designer
- Partners: Lead UX designers, user researcher, visual designer, lead content designers as support
- Stakeholders: Product owners, development and architecture team
Research and process:
Our iteration process was focused on visually representing the complex functionality of this product in a way that resonates with our technically advanced target users – primarily developers and architects. The challenge for the content design was finding a balance in the messaging by using terminology that our target users understood, while also adhering to the friendly voice of our product.
